Tips for Eating On the Go - Heather Solomon, RVP

Drink a shake before heading to social events to curb your appetite.

Always bring your refillable water bottle and keep tabs on how many times you’ve refilled it.

If traveling in the airport, make your shake in a shaker bottle, and then add water once you’re through security. It helps avoid fast food or biscotti on the plane.

When traveling for kids' events, pack food. We always pack shakes in a thermos, hard-boiled eggs, almonds, and homemade protein bars in a lunch box.

Choose which meals you can be flexible with during the weekend. You don’t need to eat cheat food all day, but maybe just Saturday night.

When going to potlucks, always assume everyone has cats on the counter when they are preparing their food. It always creeps me out, and I won’t eat other people’s stuff.

Don’t hover around the appetizer table. Move away from it and always plate your food. No mindless grabbing of chips etc.

I ask for a to-go box and immediately put half of my plate away for the next day.

I love taking Arbonne's Full Control and drinking a large glass of water before meals. It really helps control my urge to overeat.

I trick my mind into thinking I'm eating more when I cut the food into smaller pieces.

When my body first triggers my brain that it's full, I try to listen and stop eating or at least slow down my intake.

Yes... I've eaten on salad plates for years. It makes such a difference!

Tips for Handling Alcohol - Tory Brandt, ENVP

If I am completely staying away from alcohol, I order or make soda water in a cocktail tumbler and add garnishes. It makes me feel like I’m drinking with everyone else.

Mocktails on the menu are my friend. They are fancy and tasty, and I don’t have to sit there with my glass of water when everyone else has a cocktail.

If I'm drinking alcohol, I always make sure I drink a full glass of water between cocktails.

To not veer too off track with my health goals on the weekends, when we go out, I’ll pick a place where I can order an excellent protein and veggie to keep it simple.
